Peter was born in Accra, Ghana, West Africa, adding to an extended family of artists. From a very young age, Peter's father witnessed his talent and encouraged him to pursue his art education beyond high school. He graduated with a Diploma of Art from Ghanatta College of Art in Accra, where he focussed on watercolors and abstract art.
Peter currently volunteers his time at Kinder Paradise in Accra, Ghana where he teaches fine arts to street children. He was also the former Director of the Painting Department for the Junior Art Club and Everimages Career Consult, also located in Accra. Both of these NGO's strive to unearth the creative potentials in disadvantaged youth and communities in Ghana. Peter is passionate about teaching children the value of art, ensuring that Ghana's rich art culture continues to live on through them for generations to come.
Peter is also a member of the Foundation for Contemporary Arts Ghana, and held his first art exhibition at the American Club in Accra, 1998. During the past four years, Peter has participated in numerous exhibitions in Ghana and the United States. He was able to make his first visit to the U.S. in February, 2008, where he gave lectures, worked with disadvantaged youth, and held three exhibitions of his work.
Peter's peaceful disposition is reflected in his choice of free-flowing color and bold approaches. He derives his inspiration from his creative imagination and observations of life in total.
